On June 3 and 4, 2008, the Honorable Neil Romano, Assistant Secretary of the Office of Disability Employment Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor, convened more than 250 leaders representing businesses, non-profits, advocacy groups, academia, and Federal, state, and local agencies at Transforming the American Workplace: A 21st Century Vision, a Summit on disability employment policy.
Held at the Kellogg Conference Center at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., the Summit brought attendees together to hear from more than 30 speakers and presenters about current trends transforming the American workplace, and to engage in a unique dialogue on how these trends can be leveraged to open doors of opportunity for individuals with disabilities.More information and handouts can be found on their Web site at http://www.odepsummit.org/.
